Route information
Surrey 3 Peaks Challenge We’ll be taking on the Surrey 3 Peaks Challenge a full-day endurance hike through the stunning Surrey Hills, covering three of the region’s most well-known peaks in a single circular route. This is a serious day out on the trail. At around 37km, the route combines big miles with steady climbs, varied terrain and long stretches of beautiful countryside. Expect tired legs, plenty of elevation, and the kind of challenge that pushes you just outside your comfort zone, all tackled together at a steady group pace. As always with Essex Adventures, the goal isn’t just the distance. It’s about taking on something bigger as a group, supporting each other through the tougher sections, and finishing the day with a real sense of achievement. This is the kind of hike you’ll still be talking about long after the boots come off.
Who is it for?
This 37km challenge route is designed for experienced hikers with a strong level of fitness who are comfortable spending a full day on their feet. While the pace will remain steady and supportive, the distance, elevation and time on the trail make this a demanding hike that will test both endurance and determination. If you’ve completed several of our Adventure hikes and are ready to push yourself further, enjoy long-distance challenges, or want to build confidence tackling bigger routes, this is the perfect next step. ⚠️ Please note: This event is not suitable for beginners and participants should be confident completing long-distance hikes.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Many people come along on their own and quickly get chatting. Our hikes are designed to be welcoming and inclusive, and Jack and the team are there to make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported throughout the day. Everyone was new once. 😊
