ŠumpeRUN 2026
The ŠumpeRUN is an 8th annual running race for the public through the historic center of Šumperk. The 3.33 km course will be run three times for a total of 10 km. The event also includes relay races for three-person teams, a one-lap adult race, and children's races.
Main 10 km Race Course
The 10 km course is 3.33 km through the city center, mostly in pedestrian zones and parks. The elevation gain per lap is approximately 20 m, and about 60 m for the entire race. The surface is predominantly paved and asphalt.

Children's Race Courses
- 0–5 years: 100 m
- 6–8 years: 1 lap (approx. 565 m) - mapy.cz/s/femereneta

- 11–12 and 13–14 years: 2 laps (2 km total) - mapy.cz/s/pecosafusu
Children's race courses will be set up in the Sady 1. máje park.
Capacity
- 350 participants in the main 10 km race
- 100 participants in the 1-lap race (3.33 km)
- 50 teams in the three-person relay (10 km)
- 100 children per age category (total 300 children, excluding 0-5 year olds)
Categories
Main 10 km Race Categories: M Open, F Open, Juniors (M/F 15-19), M/F20-29, M/F30-39, M/F40-49, M/F50-59, M/F60+.
1-Lap Race Categories: M Open, F Open (top 6 awarded).
Children's Races (Šumperáček): Youngest (0-5 years, non-competitive), 6-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years. School Cup classification included.
Other Categories (Main Race): Best Šumpera(u)n (male/female resident), Best from Partner Cities (male/female), Best Disabled Participant.
Relay Categories: Male, Female, Mixed, School Relay.
Timing
Chip timing system. Chips are returnable and attached to shoelaces (main race, relays, 1-lap). Relay chips also function as the baton. Chips must be returned immediately after finishing.
Registration
Online registration for the main race, 1-lap race, and children's races (6+ years) will be announced. Children 0-5 years register on-site. On-site registration available on race day if capacity allows.
Registration Fee (Individuals - Main Race)
- 300 CZK: Online registration by June 30, 2026
- 400 CZK: Online registration by September 23, 2026
- 500 CZK: On-site registration
