Stour Valley Marathon & Half
The Stour Valley Marathon & Half is a trail and country route based at Nayland Village Hall in Colchester. The marathon covers 27 miles and follows a mix of tracks, trails, roads and byways using sections of the St. Edmunds Way, Stour Valley Path and the Essex Way. The half marathon follows the first loop of the marathon route.

The event is predominantly self navigation. Navigation materials will be provided as a GPX file or written instructions available for download nearer the event date. Checkpoints and fully stocked aid stations are located at approximately 6, 11, 15 and 20.5 miles. The event operates a cupless policy so runners must provide their own cup; collapsible speedcups are available to purchase for £2.50 each.
There is a new entry fee structure in which the basic entry does not include a medal. Medals must be selected and paid for at registration; additional medals or event tees will not be available on race day. Cut off times are eight hours for the marathon and four hours for the half marathon. Parking and toilets are available at Nayland Village Hall and provided free of charge for the day.
