About the Race
“Swim - Bike - Run & Fun” – that's the Steinbecker Triathlon. What began in 1992 with 50 athletes in gym shorts and on mom's cruiser bike in the forest swimming pool has become a highly professional triathlon spectacle today, attracting athletes from near and far to the small town on the Mittellandkanal. Three distances are offered: the ShortMan, an Olympic distance, and the SteelMan, a challenging middle distance. The event is rounded off by a relay triathlon.
“Small town – big sport” is the motto of our experienced organizing team. Over a quarter of a century of experience, passion, and great attention to detail have created a unique feel-good atmosphere at the Steinbecker Triathlon, both for ambitious athletes and hobby athletes. Short distances, a clear, central transition zone directly on the Mittellandkanal, a unique swimming course, top signage, homemade cake – all this is Steinbeck.
Be there. We look forward to seeing you.
