Standard Chartered Great City Race
The Standard Chartered Great City Race is a 5K corporate running event held in the City of London. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Tuesday 21 July 2026 with the start line at the Honourable Artillery Company Grounds. The course runs on road terrain and is described as fast and flat, with an elevation gain of 59 feet. The route passes recognisable landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bank of England.Race results are timed and finish positions are based on gun time rather than chip time. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and top three women, and there are team awards for accountancy, banking, insurance and legal sectors. Event photography is provided and a finisher’s T-shirt and medal are available as optional items. Participants may choose an option to plant a tree through Trees Not Tees. A free trial is offered for Coopah, the official training app for the event.
On-site facilities include toilets with accessible options, mile and kilometre course markers, a Festival Area that includes a bar, a Sensory Calm Space, a Multi Faith Prayer Space, and bike parking available on a first come first served basis. One third of the entry fee is donated to the Standard Chartered Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
