St Agnes Swimrun 2026
The St Agnes Swimrun, part of the Scilly Swimrun Series 2026, takes place on Saturday, July 11th. This unique event links the islands of St Agnes and Gugh with challenging courses that combine technical trail running and open water swimming.
Course Options:
- 7 km: Participants can complete one loop of the 7 km course.
- 14 km: Participants can complete two loops of the 7 km course.
The 7 km loop begins with a 1 km run, followed by a 600 m swim, a 1.6 km run, and a 700 m swim to Gugh. After a run around Gugh, participants swim back to St Agnes for a final run to the community center.
A boat transfer from St Mary's to the start island is included in the entry price. Entries are available for solos and pairs, with prices increasing after May 1st.
Mandatory Kit:
- Wetsuit (NOT a Trisuit)
- Whistle (easily accessible)
- Foldable cup or soft flask
- Towfloat (required for solo participants in Archipelago and Northern Traverse events)
Water temperatures in July typically range from 14 to 16 °C. Medical and water safety teams, including powerboats, will be present on land and sea. Spectator locations include the start/finish area, the sandbar between St Agnes and Gugh, and a pub beachfront viewing spot.
