South Hams Relay
The South Hams Relay is an inaugural 100-mile team relay through South Devon, based at Borough Park in Totnes on 19 July 2026. The course is divided into 16 legs, ranging from about 5 km to just under 16 km, so teams can distribute distance among members.
Teams consist of 10 to 16 runners and the event uses staggered start times to match different team paces. Organisers supply full GPX files for every leg. Entries are limited and priority entry is given to local clubs. Entries open on 21 January 2026 and close on 11 July 2026. The entry fee is £160 per team and each runner receives a goody bag.
Awards are given for fastest all-female, all-male, and mixed teams, plus a prize for the team with the closest estimated finish time. The event raises funds for two local charities: South West Coastal Path and the Can-Active Programme. All event profit will be donated to these causes.
The format emphasises teamwork, strategy, and a runner-focused delivery. The route includes countryside and coastal sections and uses rolling roads and paths that highlight aspects of the South Hams landscape. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
