South Downs Trail Run
The South Downs Trail Run takes place at Goodwood Racecourse and follows routes into the South Downs National Park. The event attracts over 1,000 runners and features extensive countryside views, including glimpses of the North Downs, Chichester Harbour, and the Isle of Wight on a clear day.
The route weaves through forest tracks, skirts the edge of Levin Down, and includes a section of the South Downs Way. Runners descend into East Dean before a final climb back to the racecourse. The course uses a mix of forest fire roads, bridleways, and single-track trails, with varied footing throughout.
