Sokolský běh republiky – Praha
The Sokolský běh republiky in Prague will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. This event is a "BIG RACE" format, meaning timing will be professional, and awards will be given to the fastest runners. Every participant will receive a starter pack with a bib number and gifts from organizers and partners, and a unique medal in the shape of the Czech Republic upon finishing.
The event facilities will be located at Tyršův dům, offering a full accompanying program with sports and non-sports activities for children. Adult runners will also enjoy the main race route through Petřín Gardens, featuring beautiful views of Prague and surprises along the way. Children's categories will run on a flat course in Kampa Park.
Main Course
Adults 5.6 km
The main race starts with a communal walk from Tyršův dům to the starting line on Hellichova street. The route includes an ascent towards the Petřínské terasy restaurant, passing under the funicular, and winding through serpentines with stunning Prague views. It continues up to the picturesque pond with a seal, then towards Velká strahovská zahrada. The return path goes past Vojířova štola, passes the Petřínské terasy restaurant again, and finishes with a descent on Hellichova street. This route is suitable for both experienced runners and amateurs looking to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate the republic's founding through movement.
Children's Courses
- 800 m - born 2012 - 2015: Starts in Tyršův dům, runs a longer loop through Kampa Park, and returns to Tyršův dům for the finish. A cyclist will precede the children. The route is on paved, mostly asphalt paths.
- 400 m - born 2016 - 2021: Starts in Tyršův dům, runs a shorter loop through Kampa Park, and returns to Tyršův dům for the finish. A cyclist will precede the children. The route is on paved, mostly asphalt paths.
- 100 m - born 2022 and younger: Starts in Kampa Park and runs to Tyršův dům.

Facilities at Tyršův dům will include cloakrooms, changing rooms, and toilets.
Parking and Transport
There is no parking at the race venue. If arriving by car, it is recommended to park at the Anděl shopping center and take a tram to the Tyršův dům stop (4 stations). From the opposite direction (Malostranská), the nearest stops are Pražské Jezulátko or Újezd.
