Sokolský běh republiky – Písek
The Sokolský běh republiky in Písek will take place on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. The event uses professional timing for the main race and awards the fastest runners. Every participant receives a start package with a race number and gifts from organizers and partners. A medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.
On-site registration is possible if capacity is not filled. New registrations and package pick-ups close 30 minutes before the start of each race.
Main Route
Adults 5.35 km
The route starts in Palackého sady near the music pavilion, goes over the Stone Bridge, and then left along the river. Before the winter stadium, the route turns left over the footbridge to the right bank, then continues upstream to the turnaround point at Ševčík's gazebo. It then returns via the Dagmar Šimková footbridge, around the winter stadium along the river, over the Stone Bridge, and back to Palackého sady. The course includes pavement, asphalt, gravel, and forest paths.

- 1,500 m - born 2012 - 2015
- 800 m - born 2016 - 2019
- 400 m - born 2020 - 2021
- 100 m - born 2022 and younger
Children's races will take place on paved paths and asphalt.

Facilities for Runners
Valuables and bags can be stored upon request in the venue. Changing rooms, toilets, and showers are available at the nearby sports hall. Refreshments are provided at the finish line for all participants.
Parking
Parking is available at the parking lot on Fügnerovo náměstí, in front of the sports hall, or near the post office (20 CZK/day).
