Event Details
General Information: The Sokolský běh republiky in Náměšť na Hané is held as a RACE. This means that the time may not be measured by a timing system. But don't worry, you won't miss your final time or the announcement of winners! And what will you get from the organizers? Everyone will pick up their starting package with a starting number and other gifts from organizers and partners at the venue, and a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits everyone at the finish line.
Main Race
- Adults 8.9 km: Starts from the U Kapličky area in Náměšť na Hané. The route continues down through the amphitheater into the Terezské údolí along the yellow tourist trail, which we leave at the first junction before Růžový Mlýn and continue with a moderate climb on a forest path until crossing an asphalt forest path, along which we continue left and after approx. 2 km, we turn left again off this path onto a forest path and the route leads downhill to the shelter "U Doubku" in Terezské údolí, from where we return to the junction where the route left the yellow tourist trail, and we repeat this small loop of about 2 km once more. After completing it for the second time, the route leads from the junction along the same path towards the finish line, where we will finally climb the final ascent through the amphitheater, after which there are about 500 m to the finish. The elevation gain on the route is about 180 m, and most of it consists of forest and paved paths.
- Adults 4.3 km: Starts from the U Kapličky area in Náměšť na Hané. The route continues down through the amphitheater into the Terezské údolí along the yellow tourist trail, where there is a turnaround in the middle of the route, and we return almost the same way to the "popular" amphitheater climb, after which it is about 500 m to the finish. The surface of the route is approximately half asphalt and half paved and forest paths. The route has an elevation gain of about 70 m, and its undemanding profile can be handled even by an untrained runner.
Children's Race
- 1.6 km - born 2011 - 2014: The route starts in the U Kapličky area, then continues right along the cobblestone path along the castle grounds, and at the first turn to the right, it continues along an asphalt forest path leading towards Liščí chata. After a short climb to a moderate hill, the route turns left onto a forest path downhill towards the amphitheater, along which it returns through a lime alley and then along the road between houses to the finish. The route consists of half asphalt and cobblestones and half paved and forest paths.
- 600 m - born 2015 and younger: The route starts in the U Kapličky area, then continues right along the cobblestone path along the castle grounds, and at the first turn to the right, it continues along an asphalt path leading to the forest. Behind the last garden, the route turns right and then along the road between houses to the finish. The route consists of asphalt and cobblestones without elevation gain.
Accompanying Program
Reproduced music on site and a moderator guides the entire program, accompanying program not only for participating children. Rich refreshments are provided by Bistro Javoříčko.
Runner Facilities
In the area, there are men's and women's toilets, a possibility to store valuables or backpacks, and in case of unfavorable weather, a tent will be provided for changing. Refreshments for participants at the finish line.
Parking
Parking on site is limited, another option is at the COOP store and the Sokolovna, about 300 m from the area.
