About the race
The Sokolský běh republiky – Lomnice nad Popelkou will take place in Lomnice nad Popelkou on Wednesday 28 October 2026. You can run between 7 and 22 kilometers.
The race is timed with professional timing equipment, and prizes will be awarded to the fastest runners. All participants will receive a starter pack with a start number and gifts from organizers and partners, and a medal in the shape of the republic upon finishing.
The adult race entry includes a traditional Sokol stew, while the children's race includes a sweet treat. Refreshments are provided for all participants.
Main Routes
- Adults 6.5 km: The route primarily follows country roads around Lomnice nad Popelkou, with approximately three-quarters offering views of the Krkonoše mountains. The remaining quarter is on quiet asphalt roads.
- Adults 12 km: Similar to the 6.5 km route, primarily on country roads with mountain views.
- Adults 22 km: Also follows country roads with mountain views. Due to the time change to winter, the 22km race starts earlier at 13:30.
Children's Routes
- 1.2 km: For ages 2011 - 2013 (city run).
- 500 m: For ages 2014 - 2017 (city run).
- 300 m: For ages 2018 - 2021 (city run).
- 150 m: For ages 2022 - 2023 (city run).
- 50 m: For ages 2024 and younger (city run).
Accompanying Program
A playroom for children of all ages will be available on-site. Parents are responsible for their children; the playroom is unsupervised by organizers.Runner Facilities
