Sokolský běh republiky – Březník
The Sokolský běh republiky in Březník will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. This event is a fun run (BĚH) without official timing or results, focusing on enjoyment. Participants will receive a starting package with a number and gifts. A medal shaped like the Czech Republic awaits finishers.
The race routes wind through the forest on an accessible part of the Údolí Oslavy and Chvojnice nature reserve. The main routes (5 km and 6.2 km) start on an asphalt forest road, with the 6.2 km "VÝZVA" (Challenge) route including a more demanding section with a steep descent.
Children's races include a 1.2 km route for those born 2012-2016 and a 600 m route for those born 2017-2024. The children's races start at 2 PM.
There will be accompanying programs, including a photo booth, a treasure hunt, canistherapy, and rope climbing. Facilities include changing rooms, toilets, and free refreshments (beer, soda, sausage) with options to purchase other items. A pergola with seating and a campfire will be available.
Parking is designated on a meadow before the recreational area. Participants are asked to respect the environment and avoid littering.

- Main Routes:
- 5 km: Leads from the Lamberk recreational area on an asphalt forest road, turning back and then diverting onto an unpaved forest path.
- 6.2 km (VÝZVA): Follows the 5 km route for the first 600m, then takes a detour through a forest path (1800m) before rejoining the main route. This section is described as challenging with a dangerous 100m steep descent.
- Children's Routes:
- 1.2 km (ages 2012-2016): Starts from the Lamberk area, goes past the parking lot, across a meadow to the water tower "Bumbálek", then onto the "Annastrasse" asphalt road, and back to the Lamberk area.
- 600 m (ages 2017-2024): Route goes from the Lamberk area, past the parking lot, across a meadow to the water tower "Bumbálek", and back.
