SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch
Presented by SoCalTrail, this premier ultra distance event takes place on Tejon Ranch, offering a unique opportunity to explore untouched trails. The event is conveniently located just 1-hour north of Los Angeles and easily accessible off the 5 freeway.
The event features four exciting race distances:
- Tehachapi 100k
- Grapevine 50k
- Castac Lake 25k
- Foothills 11k
The courses wind through diverse southern California landscapes, including canyons, creeks, mountains, and sagebrush plains, with potential wildlife sightings. Race day temperatures typically range from the low 40s to 60 degrees.
Overnight camping is available, and local hotel partners will be announced. A finish line festival will include hot meals, a beer garden (21+), and a sponsor hydration station.
Schedule:
- Friday, February 27, 2026: Overnight Camping Check-in (12:00pm-9:00pm)
- Saturday, February 28, 2026: Race Day (Parking opens 4:30am, Runner Check-in 5:00am, various start times from 7:00am)
- Sunday, March 1, 2026: Overnight camping check-out (9:00am)
The event is professionally organized by SoCalTrail and includes fully-marked courses, live tracking, chip timing, aid stations, medical support, and free race photography. Finisher awards include belt buckles, medals, and complimentary beer/meals.
Course Details:
- 100k Course: 61.6 miles with 11,903' vert, 18-hour time limit.
- 50k Course: 32.49 miles with 5,473' vert, 17-hour time limit.
- 25k Course: 15.86 miles with 2,858' gain, 9:00am start.
- 11k Course: 6.96 miles with 944' gain, 9:30am start.
All SoCalTrail races are CUPLESS. Volunteers can earn race credits. Cancellations are non-refundable but transferrable. The event will take place rain or shine, with provisions for hazardous conditions.
