Snapping Tortura Open Water Swim
The Snapping Tortuga presents the Snapping Tortuga Open Water Swim. Distances offered are 1250m, 2.5k, 3.8k, and 5k. The Snapping Tortuga is the oldest continuously held Open Water Swim in Montgomery County, Texas. It is held on beautiful Lake Conroe and is a 1250m triangular course in a protected cove. Safety is our primary concern with this event, and we go to great lengths to ensure a large number of safety assets on the water to keep the athletes and volunteers safe. The Snapping Tortuga is held twice a year, in April and October, and attracts some of the top open water swimmers in the area to a fun and exciting event.
In an effort to reduce the entry fee, event t-shirts will no longer be provided but will be available for purchase. Please indicate during sign-up if you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt. If you don't indicate your interest during sign-up, a limited number of t-shirts will be available for purchase on race morning.
