Rye Ancient Trails 30k & 15k
This is a trail race based at Rye Sports Centre in Rye, East Sussex. The course is multi-terrain and hilly and runs across the ancient trails surrounding the medieval town of Rye. The route winds through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and links the Norman churches of Rye, Iden, Beckley, Northiam and Peasmarsh. The event begins on the high street and then follows trails that pass historic woodland, orchards, quiet country lanes and offer views of the coastline. The course includes approximately 1500 ft of climb.

The 2026 charity partner is The Oliver Curd Trust, which provides free holiday accommodation for families affected by childhood cancer and life-limiting conditions. The race supports local charities and involves community volunteers, with marshals and Girl Guides helping at the finish. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs and trophies or prizes for leading runners. On-the-day entry fees, subject to availability, are listed as £40 for the 30k and £35 for the 15k. Event information is sent to registered entrants before race day.
