About the Rothaar-Waldlauf
The Rothaar-Waldlauf by TSV Aue-Wingeshausen offers a unique experience with its main routes being point-to-point races, making it particularly appealing. Additionally, several circular routes cater to both ambitious athletes and hobby runners. Many participants consider it one of Germany's most beautiful forest runs and a staple in their annual competition calendar. You'll run along the ridge of the Rothaarsteig, enjoying breathtaking views over the Wittgensteiner Land and the adjacent Sauerland, ideally in the beautiful autumn weather of October. The course winds through impressive forests, offering a chance to encounter re-introduced European bison.
Our event is known for its warm, open, and well-organized atmosphere, as reflected in our feedback over nearly five decades. We always welcome familiar faces and new runners alike. Our small organizing team is continuously working on improvements and innovations to provide you with a fantastic running experience, supported by a great TSV volunteer family.
