The beautiful Surrey town of Walton-on-Thames beckons runners on 25th October 2026 for a flat, fast, scenic and largely traffic free race. This is ideal for those looking for a PB or completing their first half marathon.
As well as the lovely course, runners like the enthusiastic and friendly marshals, the efficient organisation and the bespoke finisher mug and well stocked goody bag.
Now in its 12th year, the start and finish are at spectacular Walton Bridge, Surrey. The route follows the River Thames towpath and roads to Hampton Court Bridge. It is a perfect preparation event if you are running a late autumn marathon: New York (1 week before), Valencia (6 weeks before) or Florence (5 weeks before) or you just want the challenge of completing a half marathon.

Starting Time: 08:30 am
Minimum Age: 17 years old on day of race
Terrain: RUN ENGLAND LICENSED event: 27290. Multi-terrain: Flat and fast! All on road and path at the start before running along the Thames Towpath. Please expect to run on flat path, road, gravel and grass during the 13.1 miles. The course is flat as a pancake.
Prizes: Top 3 from each sex category will receive a sports shop Voucher. 1st Place: £75, 2nd Place £50, 3rd Place: £25. They will also receive a free entry into another River Thames Running event.
First Aid: Full professional cover in place throughout the course.
Marshals: The entire course will be fully marshaled.
Sweep Marshals: A sweep Marshal will be present to assist athletes who do not complete the course and will be transported to the finish line.
Water Station Locations: Approximately 3 miles, 5.5 miles, 8.5 miles and at the finish. Water only on the course; food and other drinks at the finish.
Pacers: Available.
Refunds / Deferrals: Race entries are NOT TRANSFERABLE and NON-DEFERABLE. No change of race number. Full refund within 14 days of payment. After this, no refunds, deferrals, or transfers.
