Richmond Park Half Marathon and Marathon
The event is a trail run held entirely within Richmond Park, organised by 1 Mile 2 Go Events and based at the Sheen Gate car park area. Two distance options are offered:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Marathon
The route leaves Sheen Gate and passes Richmond Gate before returning to Sheen Gate, then continues through the centre of the park toward the White House. The course offers views of the park lakes and opportunities to see wildlife. Runners follow the Tamsin Trail from Robin Hood Gate, climb Broomfield Hill where there is a drinks station, and continue toward Kingston Gate. The route goes through wooded sections to Ham Gate, where there is a drinks and feed station. Participants proceed to Petersham Gate for park views, then return to Ham Gate and run along the main track beside Queens Road with a safe crossing back toward the park's central private road. That central section is described as flat and faster, leading back past the White House and returning to Sheen Gate for the half marathon finish. Entry fees are listed for each distance, with the half marathon and marathon priced separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

We start off at Sheen Gate where the race HQ start and finish area will be and take runners off up to Richmond Gate and return back to Sheen Gate then we move on off through the centre of the park up to the White House and amazing views of the lakes in the park and hopefully lots of wildlife too.
From there, the runners will head down to Robin Hood Gate and join the Tamsin trail path that snakes around the inner walls of the Royal Park, you climb up Broomfield Hill for the drinks station and then carry along towards Kingston Gate - the route continues along through some wooded area to Ham Gate where we will have another drinks / feed station to keep the runners going.
The runners are sent off onto Petersham Gate with some amazing views of the Park and we turn around and return to Ham Gate and send runners up the main track along side the Queens Road where we will cross safely and return towards the main private road that runs through the centre of the park - this section is flat and fast and eventually, the runners reach the White House and head back towards Sheen Gate and the finish area for the 13.1 mile distance.
