Recover from the Holidays 50K
Wrap up the year with all of your running friends! Recover From The Holidays is an old fashion, budget-friendly 50Km run each year on New Years Eve; but don't let the low-key nature of this race fool you, it's no cake walk! This year we’re going old school and bringing back the old race format and hill that was once part of the original RFH course. Runners will now run an initial 1 mile out and back followed by 10 repeats of a fun 3.0 mile loop over rolling cross country grass trails that now includes two big hill climbs per loop. This race is the final event in the calendar year for the Huntsville Track Club and a great way to wrap up your ultrarunning season.
There is a strict 9 hour cut off time; no runners will be allowed to start a new lap after 3:20 PM and anyone finishing after 4:00 pm will not be counted in the official results.
Race starts at 7 AM. New for 2025: The race will start at 7am and will have a 9 hour cutoff.
Aid Station
There will be a limited aid, but it will include water, soda, chips, and cookies. You will have access to your own personal aid station (feel free to bring camp chairs, tables, etc) every 3 miles at the start of a new loop.

Finish Award
Those who make the 10 laps in the cutoff time will receive a Santa sanctioned hoodie. The overall male and female will receive a prize hand-picked by none other than jolly old elf himself.
Packet Pickup
We will have a short packet pickup on Tuesday, December 30th. Time and place TBD. Packets can also be picked up at the race site prior to the race starting at 6:30am
