Race to the Rescue
The Cape George Trail Race is back this year!
Mark your calendars! On September 20th, Strait Area Ground Search & Rescue is hosting a fundraiser trail race in collaboration with Highland Trail Running and the Cape George Hiking Trail Association. The race will feature a 10km and 21km route through the Cape George Hiking trails. The views will be stunning and the climbs will be plentiful! (They don’t call it the Mini Cabot Trail for nothing!)
Proceeds will support the Strait Area SAR team. T-shirts will be available, even if you don’t plan on racing but still want to donate! All funds help to advance training, equipment and operations, so we can best serve our community when you need us.

- What: A trail race, with two options: 10km (265m elevation gain) and 21km (720m elevation gain)
- When: 20 September 2025
- Where: Cape George Hiking Trails
- Amenities: Parking and washrooms at the North Shore Fire Hall (Start point). Shuttles will be available to take you from the Lighthouse (End point) back to the Fire Hall if needed.
