About the race
Race for Life Hastings is a community running event at Alexandra Park in Hastings. The event offers three distances:
- 10k (double lap of the 5k course)
- 5k
- 3k
The start and finish are on grass on the Middle Lawn, to the right of Eat@The Park Cafe near the Bandstand. The route uses park pathways and woodland paths, and includes several inclines and declines with a maximum gradient of 15 percent. Bridges and some narrow sections are present; the course may be slippery or soft in wet weather. The 10k follows two laps of the 5k circuit and there may be congestion at the 3k split point.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. The site allows dogs, is suitable for pushchairs, and is wheelchair accessible with assistance. There is no general event parking; accessible users may park on Dordrecht Way and should speak to stewards for access. There are no cycle racks. Nearest public transport links include a nearby bus stop and Hastings and Ore train stations. Electric vehicle charging locations are noted in nearby areas.
Entry fees are shown as Earlybird categories for adults and children, and a minimum fundraising target applies. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support, community access and a Race for Life medal on completion.
