QA 5k - organised by PH Racing Club
QA 5k hosted by PH Racing Club will see an evening of time graded 5km races around the perimeter of the Queen Anne High School building, in Dunfermline.
QA 5k offers a simple, no nonsense racing experience to competitive runners looking for fast times and quality racing. The race will be held under UK Athletics Rules and is a scottishathletics Licensed Event.
The race format shall see multiple graded races around the lapped race route. Entrants must enter the entry category below specific to their current ability, this will ensure an equal spread of abilities on race night.
In the interest of competitive racing, once entries close the organisation team shall set the threshold for splitting the participants into graded races.
Entrants are requested to enter only the entry category specific to their ability, should a specific category become full, the race director shall then allocate spaces from the Waiting List as applicable.
Minimum cash prizes of £250 shall be awarded to first male and female, £150 to second male and female and finally £100 to third male and female. In the unlikely event that there are faster times in Race 1 than in Race 2 or 3 when it comes to prizes, prizes will be given based on time. Further cash prize pot of £500 shall be given for course records for male (currently 13:57) and female (currently 15:54), so if both records go it will be £250 each, but if only one record goes, the record breaker will take home the full pot of £500.
The measured route is flat and fast, it comprises of just over 7 clockwise laps with no sharp bends.
There will be live race commentary and announcing on the night provided by You Can Sport.

To enhance the racing experience the QA 5k team strongly encourage as many spectators as possible to come along and support the runners throughout the evening. Please feel free to bring friends and family along with you on the evening.
