Punk Panther Ultra Unique
Punk Panther Ultra Unique is presented within the Punk Panther Endurance Events programme and follows the organiser's established format for trail and endurance races. Courses are selected and tested for varied terrain, scenery and route quality and are run on public footpaths, moorland and woodland sections. Route files and a written route description are provided as GPX or emailed final instructions; tape, flags or signs may be used but competitors are advised not to rely on them alone for navigation.
Ultramarathon entrants are supplied with a tracker and trail distances can hire a tracker for an additional fee. Runners must carry a minimum safety kit at all times; the kit list includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams, survival or bivvy bag, whistle, personal first aid kit, a hard copy map or route description and a mobile phone. Head torches are required on specified longer courses. Checkpoints provide water, soft drinks and a selection of snacks with vegan and gluten free options available.
Entrants must meet the minimum age requirement of 18. Checkpoint closing times act as cut offs and arriving after a cut off results in retirement from the event. Finishers receive a medal and an event T shirt unless they opt out. Dogs are permitted on some events subject to specific rules and support runner arrangements are allowed in line with organiser guidance.
