Pine Creek Challenge

Location: 1551 Marsh Creek Road, Wellsboro, PA
The Pine Creek Challenge is a scenic trail run along Pine Creek in northern Pennsylvania. The event utilizes an out and back course on the Pine Creek Rail Trail, known for its beauty and accessibility.
Distances Offered:
- 100 Miler: Runs from Asaph to Blackwell and back twice.
- 100K: Runs to Blackwell once.
- 50 Miler: One trip to Blackwell and return.
- Marathon: Course goes to Tiaghdaton and turns around.
The rail trail surface is fine crushed stone, 20 feet wide, with a barely perceptible grade. The course is free of puddles and has no motorized traffic. Expect to see cyclists, walkers, and abundant wildlife, including bald eagles and river otters.
Start Times:
- 100 Miler: 6:00 AM Saturday
- 100K: 7:00 AM Saturday
- 50 Miler: 8:00 AM Saturday
- Marathon: 9:00 AM Saturday
Course Cutoffs: The course will be open until noon, Sunday. This provides 30 hours for 100-milers and 29 hours for 100K runners.
Weather: Early September in northern Pennsylvania typically ranges from 51°F (low) to 75°F (mid-day), with beautiful fall foliage.
