Event Overview
The Phoenix Energy Belfast City Half Marathon is the largest half marathon event in Northern Ireland. The race takes place in Belfast, the capital city, providing participants with a course that passes several notable municipal and cultural landmarks.
Course Details
The route begins and ends at Ormeau Park, which is the oldest municipal park in the city. Runners follow a path through the capital that includes views of several historic sites:
- The Harland and Wolff Cranes
- Custom House Square
- Belfast City Hall
Participation and Registration
The event offers a distance of 21.1 km (half marathon). Public entry is sold out; entry is now only available via charity places. Participants are required to collect their race packs in person at the event expo at the ICC Belfast on the Saturday preceding the race. Race packs are not sent via postal services. The event facilitates both unaffiliated runners and registered members of athletics clubs.
Note: All participants will collect their Race Pack at the Phoenix Energy Belfast City Half Marathon Expo and Pack Collection at the ICC Belfast (Saturday 19th September). No Race Packs will be posted.
