Pfälzer Bergland Trail 2027
The 12th Pfälzer Bergland Trail will take place from April 1 (arrival) to April 4, 2027. The usual date is shifted by one week in 2027 due to Easter. Although it was announced that this would be the last event, many messages and beautiful impressions from this year's event have led the organizers to continue. Therefore, the Pfälzer Bergland Trail will take place in 2027, but one week later than usual due to the Easter holidays.
The organizers will provide updates as soon as the new announcement is ready.
History: The event began in 2014 with the goal of making the Pfälzer Bergland region, its nature, hiking trails, and attractions better known to athletes who want to explore the Kuseler Land on foot. This call from the Kusel district administration to running therapist and ultra-marathon runner Günther Bergs has evolved into the Pfälzer Bergland-Trail, which will enter its tenth round in 2025.
The event spans three running days over approximately 130 kilometers (or about 75 kilometers as a two-person relay). The routes are predominantly trail-based, with less asphalt and occasional passages through villages. The organizer is a member of the German Ultramarathon Association (DUV).
