Peter Tavy Plod
Now in its 22nd year, the Peter Tavy Plod has become a staple of the local running calendar. Organised by Dave Chanter, this run takes place in tandem with the local Village Fair, creating a great atmosphere.
Starting and finishing in the picturesque Dartmoor village of Peter Tavy, the 5-mile route follows moorland paths and bridleways, offering stunning views while passing interesting landmarks.
Post-race, the village fair offers a glimpse into traditional village life with stalls, games, and great refreshments.
There are medals for all finishers, with prizegiving taking place at the local pub, which has supported the race since its inception.
Distances:
- 5 mile race along moorland paths and bridleways
- Junior mile for younger participants
The event is organised by a local running group and is scheduled to occur as part of the village activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
