P.A.I.L. Remembrance and Awareness Walk
The P.A.I.L. Remembrance & Awareness Walk will be hosted by Alive In My Heart, Miles’ Mission, Columbus Public Health, and Nationwide Children's Hospital at Genoa Park in Columbus on Saturday morning, October 12, 2024. The event will bring awareness and support around the experience of Pregnancy and Infant Loss (“P.A.I.L.”) and honor and remember all of the babies we miss, babies who are loved beyond measure. Building on a tradition started in 2023 with a P.A.I.L. 5k hosted by Timmy’s Kids, the walk will bring together the Columbus and surrounding communities to support parents grieving the loss of a baby.
Check-in will open at 9 am and a brief presentation will begin at 10 am including Keynote Speaker Jennifer Bullock Moore. The un-timed one-mile walk begins following the presentation, at roughly 10:30 am. The event will also include light snacks, water, resources for grieving parents, activities for children, and Dos Hermanos Food Truck and Kingdom Coffee Truck available for purchase, so please arrive early to enjoy these opportunities. The course is stroller-friendly, but pets other than service animals are not permitted.
