ORRRC Wingman 10k
WHEN: Saturday, 25 July 2026. Please arrive at the race site no later than 8:00 am for an 8:30 am start. Late registrations will not be accepted due to the staggered start.
WHERE: EJ Nutter Park in Beavercreek: 865 Factory Road, Beavercreek, OH 45434.
COURSE: A flat, paved course along the Creekside Trail.
About The WingMan 10k
This race is held in honor of Joshua Shepherd, a military hero lost in 2008. The event aims to celebrate friendship, goal-chasing, and supporting one another, reflecting the values Joshua embodied. It's an opportunity to remember him and all those who have served our nation.
Race Concept: Teams and Camaraderie
The WingMan 10K is designed to foster connections among runners and encourage teamwork. Runners and walkers are randomly assigned to teams (color-coded for runners, black/gray for walkers) to promote friendly competition and mutual support. Non-competitive teams are available for those who prefer to participate without the pressure of competition.
Staggered Start
To ensure fair team competition, runners start in waves based on age and sex. This system helps to equalize teams, allowing for a more balanced contest.
Awards
Awards will be given to the first 25 overall runners, and the first-place color team of runners and walkers.
Registration
Pre-registration: Available online via RunSignup. Minors require parent/guardian signature on the liability waiver.
Race Day Registration: Available online until 15 minutes before the race start. Hard copy forms are also available. Arriving one hour early is recommended.
Fees
- ORRRC Members: Free (fee waived automatically online or with proof of membership at the event).
- Military & Veterans: Free (with valid ID).
- Non-Members (Ages 15+): $10.00
- Non-Members (Ages 14 and under): Free
