R.I.O.T. Squad Running was founded in 2015 in Baltimore by Rob. Rob began running in 2015 as a way to deal with anxiety and stress from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after returning home from serving in the United States Army. When his friends asked to join him, he realized these runs had a bigger purpose. It served as a therapeutic outlet for his peers in the Black Community, and from there R.I.O.T. (Running Is Our Therapy) Squad Running was born. The mission of R.I.O.T. Squad is to continue to foster a supportive environment in Baltimore City for each other’s goals, both fitness and in life. We are more than a community of dedicated runners; we are a family of athletes pushing each other to achieve our goals on and off the pavement.
