Oklahoma City Trail Running Festival
Join the Oklahoma City Trail Running Festival for a day dedicated to celebrating trail running. This event offers multiple distances, including a 5K, 15K, 35K, and 50K, all set within some of the country's most iconic trail systems. Unlike road races, these courses are built on natural terrain, featuring elevation changes and dirt paths, providing a true trail running experience.
Whether you're a beginner tackling your first trail 5K or an experienced runner aiming for a 50K, you'll be running on real trails, in a competitive race, surrounded by a supportive community.
What You Earn:
- All participants receive a Trail Running Festival Soft T-Shirt and Finisher Medal.
- 50K Finishers receive a special 50K Trail Running Festival Finisher Medal.
- Ruck Finishers earn a Trail Running Festival RUCK Patch.
- Top male and female finishers for each distance win a 1st Place award.
- The last place finisher of the 50K receives the DFL "Dead Freakin' Last" award.

Do I have to run? No, trail running often involves hiking, especially on climbs or technical sections. Move at your own pace; every finisher earns their medal.
Are the distances exact? Course distances may vary slightly by location due to terrain. Exact distances and elevations will be published before race day.
What's the ruck weight requirement? If you weigh more than 150 lbs, the requirement is 30 lbs. If you weigh less than 150 lbs, it's 20 lbs. A ruck sack or vest is allowed.
Are there aid stations? Yes, aid stations provide water, hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so bring your own hydration system. Longer distances have more aid stations.
What should I bring? Trail shoes, a hydration system, layers, fuel, and a determined spirit.
Can I set up a tent or crew station? Yes, crew and spectator access is available. You can bring your own setup.
Is this for beginners? Absolutely. With distances from 5K to 50K, there's a challenge for everyone, from novices to veterans.
How do I win? Cross the finish line with the fastest time in your gender and distance category.
Rules:
- Park in designated parking spaces only.
- All participants who drop early or quit must notify the race director at the start/finish line.
- Water carrying system required for all events (cupless race).
- No Littering.
- No Cutting Course.
