Oberstdorfer Nebelhornberglauf
The Oberstdorfer Nebelhornberglauf, known as Germany's toughest mountain run, will take place in Oberstdorf on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The race covers a distance of 9.7 kilometers with an impressive 1420 meters of elevation gain.
Start and Finish: The start is at the valley station of the new Nebelhornbahn, and the finish is at the summit of the Nebelhorn.
Route: The course leads from the start at the valley station via Kühberg and Tobel to the Seealpe, then over the Latschenhang to Höfatsblick, and finally to the summit.
Training Runs: Registered participants can use the Nebelhornbahn for free for downhill travel during the four weeks leading up to the race (from June 7, 2026), upon presentation of their registration confirmation and ID.
Bag Transport: Participants can drop off bags at the Nebelhornbahn valley station between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Bags will be transported to Höfatsblick (or the summit in extreme weather) and should be labeled with the start number.
