North Wales 50km & 100km
The event on 24 April 2027 is a point-to-point trail run from Prestatyn Nova Centre following the North Wales coast toward Bangor. The route mixes long sections of flat coastal running with inland hills and stays close to the shoreline throughout.
Distances:
- 50 km route measures 54.8 km with 2700 ft of ascent.
- 100 km route follows the Waymarked North Wales Path with 8000 ft of ascent.
The course passes notable landmarks including the Great Orme, Conwy Castle, Aber Falls and Penrhyn Castle. There are six aid stations on the full route and three on the shorter route, with locations including Kinmel Bay, Llysfaen, Llandudno North Shore, Llandudno West Shore, Aber Falls car park and Hendre Hall Junction. 100 km participants can have a drop bag transported to Llandudno West Shore at the halfway point.
Services included for competitors are medical cover, an event map, tracking, and chip timing. All competitors receive an event memento and a certificate. Parking is available at the start for a small charge. Competitors must arrange their own transport from the finish; the main Chester to Holyhead rail line runs near the route and offers multiple stations.
A briefing and mandatory kit check will take place before departure. Required kit includes waterproof jacket and trousers, hat and gloves, at least 1 litre of water at the start, a foil survival blanket, the event map and information sheet, a fully charged mobile phone, and a charged head torch for 100 km entrants. Start Times:
- 50km: 5am (7-9hrs expected time) and 5.30am (<7hrs expected time)
- 100km: 4am (15-18hrs expected time), 5am 13-15hrs expected time) and 5.30am (<13hrs expected time)

- 100km - 18 hours
Mandatory Kit:

- Hat (snood or buff acceptable) and gloves
- Start with 1 litre (minimum) of water
- Foil blanket/Organge survival bag
