START DETAILS
The Start for all events: 10K and 4-Miler are located next to the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center and Loma Colorado Park. The Kids K Start and Finish is located at the Loma Colorado Park. Race Day Registration and Timing Chip Pickup will be located at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center.
All participants in the 10K and 4-Mile who would like to be entered in the results and be eligible for awards must wear a timing chip/bib. All bibs/timing chips must be worn on the front of the person and be visible at all times.
All races will start promptly at the designated times listed above. Allow plenty of time to get to the Start Line and seed yourself according to your projected pace. If you are driving to the race, plan to arrive early.
This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip finish. The "official time" will start when the gun/horn goes off. All races will start on time so please be at the start 10-15 minutes prior to the start. Please do not enter the road/start area prior to the signal from the race director. Please wait on the sidewalk and area next to start.
EVENT DAY CONDUCT
All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously towards the community and their fellow participants during the Event. Alcohol consumption, public urination/defecation (except in designated facilities), and participant obstruction are strictly prohibited. Participants must follow instructions from all Event officials.
COURSE MONITORING
Participants who disobey officials, conduct themselves unsportsmanlike, or are offensive may be disqualified. No participant shall be allowed to rejoin the race after leaving the course. Cutting the course or receiving unauthorized assistance will result in disqualification. Participants must have an official Event bib number and timing device.
PARTICIPANT SAFETY
The use of wheeled devices is strictly limited to authorized wheelchair participants and course marshals on bicycles. Strollers, skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles, or any other wheeled device are not permitted. Motorized devices are prohibited. Participants are responsible for understanding Event signage. Medical personnel may remove participants from the Event if deemed necessary for their health and welfare. Participants must retire from the race if ordered to do so by Event officials or governmental authorities. Participants assume liability for all medical expenses.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The Race Director may delay, cancel, or suspend the race due to inclement weather, other conditions, or governmental orders. Athletes will be notified via the RunFit website and email. Visible lightning will cause a 15-minute postponement, with additional delays for further sightings. Extra water will be provided in extreme heat.
MEDICAL SUPPORT
Medical staff and radio communications personnel will be positioned at aid/water stations. Event officials reserve the right to withdraw any runner who appears to be in distress. Please cooperate with medical staff. Notify a race official if you are unable to finish.
FINISH INFORMATION
10K & 4-MILER: Overall prizes for the top three men and women (gun time). Age group prizes for top finishers in various categories (men and women). Award times determined by gun time.
RED, WHITE, AND BLUE KIDS K: All registered participants (11 and under) are eligible. All participants will receive a special recognition award at the finish.
POST RACE
Post-Race refreshments will be held at the park.
