New Hope Turkey Trot
The New Hope Turkey Trot is a 5k trail run/walk taking place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Smithville, MO. This self-timed event will be a fundraiser for New Hope Christian School, supporting Christian education in Smithville. All proceeds will go toward the New Hope Scholarship Fund.
Location: Smith's Fork recreation area, Smithville, MO 64089. Ample parking near soccer and baseball fields, with overflow parking at Grace Community Church.
Course Description: The course begins on the former Julia Bargman Memorial Cross Country course, winds along a tree line, and includes several 'Nature Knowledge' stations. The full 5k continues through a seasonal campground, across a spillway, and onto gravel/dirt trails with uneven terrain. Runners will encounter the course's biggest hill before finishing along the Little Platte River bottom.
Registration: Register by Friday, November 21, 2025, to guarantee a t-shirt. Children 5 and under participate free.
What's Included: All participants receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal.
