Kick your weekend off with some adrenaline! Join us Friday evening for the fast-paced MTB Time Trial where it's just you, your bike, and the clock. Riders will set off in 1-minute intervals on a marked course; no pack to hide in, no one to chase but your best time. Whether you’re out to smash a personal record or just enjoy the ride, this is your chance to put your skills to the test. Are you ready to race the clock?
Course Information
The MTB Time Trial will take place on the Powhite Park Trail Loop. This roughly 2-mile route offers riders an adrenaline-pumping ride through the heart of Powhite Park, a hidden gem of Richmond’s urban wilderness. This roughly 2-mile loop twists through a dense, 100-acre forest, presenting riders with a thrilling mix of natural challenges and fast-paced flow.
Start and Finish: Powhite Park (6831 Greenvale Dr, Richmond, VA 23225)
Competition Format: Participants will select one of the following categories during the registration process: Expert, Singlespeed, Sport, or Beginner. Your seeding within each category will be based upon when you register; the earlier you register, the sooner your start time. Please remember Slower Riders Must Yield the Trail.
MTB Enduro
The James River Park trails will give local mountain bikers and visiting riders alike a chance to test their skills. The rock gardens, short steep climbs, creek crossings, fast downhills, and twisty single-track trails are both technically challenging and physically demanding. Riders will complete stages at Dogwood Dell, Forest Hill Park, and Belle Isle for a total of 6-8 timed miles. The transition stages (the riding required to get from one stage to the next) are not timed and do not count toward standings. Pedal hard when it counts and take it easy on the in-betweens.
