Monster Dash 5K - Metrotown
Monster Dash 5K takes place at Swangard Stadium, Boundary Road, Burnaby, British Columbia on October 31, 2026. The event features a chip-timed 5 km run and the Mini Monster Dash, a 400 metre track dash for children aged 10 and under. Registered 5K participants receive a custom swag bag and a chip-timed race bib. Mini Monster Dash participants receive a goodie bag and a finisher medal. Post-race refreshments are provided. Spots are limited and there is no race day registration.
Age and race rules: the minimum age for the 5K is 11 years. Participants aged 11 to 13 must be accompanied on course by a registered adult. Participants aged 14 to 17 may run without an accompanying adult, but a parent or legal guardian must sign the event waiver for all participants under 18. Children older than 10 are not eligible for the Mini Monster Dash.
Terrain: includes paved pathways, grass, and loose gravel, with slight inclines, declines, and some uneven surfaces. Pets are not permitted inside the stadium where the start, finish, and post-race activities take place; pets may accompany spectators along the Central Park route on a leash.
