Moffat Festival of Running 2026
The Moffat Festival of Running returns for its 39th edition, featuring a main 15 km (9.3 mile) multi-terrain race organised under UK Athletics rules with an SAF permit. The event offers prizes in open and local categories for men, women, and veteran age groups.
Route Details
The course begins with approximately 3.75 miles of undulating terrain, including a gradual rise of about 350 feet. This is followed by a challenging section of nearly one mile with a steep, stony, and uneven track rising about 550 feet. After the climb, a spectacular 4.6-mile descent leads back into Moffat town centre on the A701. Mile markers are provided, and aid stations offering drinks, sponges, and first aid are located at approximately 3, 5, and 8 miles.
