Memmelsdorfer Schlosslauf
The Memmelsdorfer Schlosslauf has been one of the most traditional and popular running events in the Bamberg district since its inception in 1985. In addition to the sporting challenge and the beautiful routes in and around Seehof Castle, the focus has always been on popular sports and the gathering of running enthusiasts of all generations. This is evident both in the various offered routes and in the well-attended award ceremonies in the Seehofhalle afterwards.
Our Routes:
- Bambini-Schnupperlauf: 750m out-and-back course in the castle park
- Schülerlauf 1 and 2 (depending on age): 1,800m circuit in the castle park
- Schülerlauf 3: 3,600m (2 laps) in the castle park
- Hobbylauf: 5,400m in and around the castle park
- Hauptlauf: 10,750m
After the start in the castle park, the course leads over mostly paved paths into the adjacent Hauptsmoor forest. Here, one or two ascents have to be overcome before you are led back into the castle park and to the finish line.
