LSD Back Yard Ultra 2027
Heart & Soul Racing presents the LSD Back Yard Ultra 2027, an official backyard ultra event at West Benridge Farm, Morpeth NE61 3RZ, set in the stunning Northumbrian countryside. This event follows the globally recognised format made famous by Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra: runners complete one loop every hour, on the hour. No exceptions.
The course is a 4.167 mile loop that includes farm track, trail and woodland surfaces. Runners must complete the loop within the hour to earn a place on the next start line; failing to finish in time or choosing to stop ends that runner’s race. The event continues until a single runner remains and is crowned Last Standing.
LSD is more than just a race. As with previous years, expect a full festival-style HQ and athlete village, bringing together runners, crews and spectators in one central hub. We’ll have live DJ sets in the barn, food vendors, top tier coffee, and an atmosphere that builds through the day and into the night as the field thins and the challenge gets real. Whether you’re aiming for a few yards or pushing deep into the night chasing your limits, LSD is built for everyone. First timers and experienced ultra runners alike.
