Love is Love 5k Run/Walk

Event Details:
- Packet pick-up, race day sign-ups and post-race snacks will be at the shelter near the parking lot.
- Old school timing for runners; popsicle stick with number for placement.
- Runners should place bibs on the front of their shirts.
- Walkers in the back, runners in front, please seat yourself based on pace.
- Water stop at the 1.5-mile mark, which is also the turn around point.
- Route will be marked with flags and arrow signs.
- No bathrooms on the course.
- Snacks, water and Powerade available after finishing.
- Old Crazy Legs Race Series items for sale for $10, with proceeds going to LGBTQ+ Outreach of Porter County.
Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS) Purpose: To promote non-pavement/pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region through the development and management of new and existing races. Experience fun and challenging course design in a low-key atmosphere. Races held in parks or areas in Lake, Porter and Laporte counties. Welcomes and encourages participation by all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression. Transgender runners may register as the gender they identify with.
Land Acknowledgment: The land on which races are hosted is the seized territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations. Refugees from other nations also resided in the area, including the Lenape (Delaware). Honor to those who have stewarded this land.
