Long Sault Trail Race & Ultra
The Long Sault Trail Race & Ultra takes place at Long Sault Conservation Area in Bowmanville, Ontario. This event is scheduled for October 17, 2026, and offers a variety of trail race formats, including a timed six-hour event and a kids run.
Distances Offered:
- 2 km Kids fun run
- 7 km single loop trail
- 14 km two different 7 km loops
- 21 km three loops across two 7 km trails
- 6 hour run: complete as many loops as possible in six hours
The course consists of two all-trail 7 km loops. Six-hour participants will alternate between the two loops. Winners are determined by the most loops completed or by the fastest completion of the final loop. Runners must be able to carry what they need for a 7 km run before returning to the aid station.
There is a single aid station at the start and finish offering lemon-lime Skratch, water, and typical snacks for longer-distance participants. Parking on site is limited and carries a fee of CA$7 per vehicle. A paid parking receipt must be shown at registration.
Every participant receives event swag with details to be determined. Cotton hoodies are available for purchase, with proceeds donated to CLOCA. The kids run includes an ice cream voucher provided by a sponsor. Prizes are awarded for first, second, and masters in each distance, subject to registration numbers. No dogs are permitted. A parent or guardian must run with a child in the 2 km kids run.
Event expenses are paid in advance, so no refunds or deferrals are issued. Bib transfers and distance changes are allowed up to three days before the event; distance changes after that must be made on race day. Enhanced refund protection is available through the registration platform. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
