Les Hivernales du RCB

About the race
Des magnifiques parcours à travers la forêt de Soignes que près de 2.000 coureurs arpentent chaque année. Un rendez-vous précieux pour celles et ceux qui désirent participer à la première longue course de la saison.
Les Hivernales font partie du challenge Run in Brussels.

The 20 and 10 km start from the ISB athletics track. A one-kilometer climb will lead you towards the drève des Tumuli. The two routes separate at the drève des deux montagnes to meet again a little further on. Surrounded by beech trees, runners can also appreciate the presence of 40 species of mammals, 130 birds and numerous reptiles, amphibians and various insects, all ready to encourage you! You will pass very close to the memorial to the victims of the attacks of March 22, or the dolmen erected in homage to the foresters who fell during the First World War. If the 10km ends with a short climb, the 20km will take the Tumuli on a long slope of 2500 meters, both routes ending with a final downhill mile to the ISB where you will be awaited with hot tea in the sports hall.
The 39km trail takes place in the heart of the Sonian Forest, offering a carefully designed route of 39 km with 556m of elevation gain. Along the way, you will cross exceptional natural areas, observe the springs of Brussels (La Laineuse, le Bocq, le Vuylbeek and the famous ponds of the Drowned Children), Highland cows, the castle of La Hulpe, as well as Groenendael and Varkensgat.
Les Hivernales support the association Un Pas De Plus this year. Un pas de plus fights against inequalities in mobility: the non-profit organization helps amputees access modern prosthetics, finances Hopper running blades when reimbursements are not enough, and supports them in their efforts.
