Le Trail de la Vallée du Parc
Le Trail de la Vallée du Parc takes place on June 27, 2026 at Vallée du Parc in Shawinigan, Quebec. The event is centered at the ski station and offers forest trail routes and on-site activities for families and visitors.
Distances Offered:
- 1 km Initiation: 26 m elevation gain, walking allowed, for 12 years and under. A short, wide, flat loop at the base of the mountain. Parents can accompany children without registration.
- 5 km L'Atteignable: 223 m elevation gain, walking allowed, for 6 years and up. Suitable for beginners and those intrigued by trail running.
- 10 km Le Motivant: 389 m elevation gain, race only, for 16 years and up. Ideal for runners who enjoy technical trails balanced with wide, rolling paths, including single track sections.
- 21 km Le Costaud: 778 m elevation gain, race only, for 18 years and up. For experienced trail runners and athletes seeking a sporty challenge. Participants must be self-sufficient for water.
All courses are marked, secured, and timed. Water points are available on all distances, with aid stations on the 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km routes. Longer courses feature technical sections and single track.
A free parking area is available. Services include a snack for participants, changing rooms, and toilets. Bib pickup is organized the day before and the morning of the event. Podiums with medals are awarded by sex and age category for each distance except the 1 km, where all participants receive a medal. No prize money is offered.
A STQ season pass is available with a limit of 100 passes per distance; each pass grants access to up to eight events of the same distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
