Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon - 27 September 2026

The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 27 September 2026 and starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium, home to Ipswich Town FC. The route passes down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront, along Cliff Lane, around the River Orwell, onto Wherstead Road and back along Grafton Way before returning to the stadium. Entrants must be 17 years or over on event day. Included with entry are chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt and iTAB, and an exclusive finisher medal. Race numbers not received by post must be collected from the Race Office on the morning of the event; numbers are not posted to addresses outside the UK. On-course provision includes water stations offering 330 ml bottles, Applied Nutrition isotonic drinks and energy gels, recycling bins at water stations, fixed first aid stations near water points and a first aid unit and recovery area close to the start and finish. A baggage store is available using the tear-off strip on the race number. Pacers with flags will be on course and toilets are provided around the stadium. Discarded clothing at the start will be collected and donated, and a trainer drop-off for reuse will be located near the Race Office in the Event Village. Travel options listed include car, bus, rail and bike. Ipswich train station on Burrell Road is approximately a five to ten minute walk from the start area.
