Welcome to the Midsummer 8K 2025, a fantastic, flat, fast course in beautiful Kelowna, BC. Hit the streets of our beautiful city as you follow a winding out-and-back course along the shore of Lake Okanagan. The route has no major intersections and mostly follows a dedicated bike path so this is the perfect opportunity to get out there and test your limits!
The Midsummer 8K Race has been a stalwart of the Kelowna Running Club and Interior Running Association road race series, in varying forms and over various courses, for over 30 years. This year's race returns as the 8K Championship race of the BC Athletics Road Running Championship and is a ranking event for World Athletics.
We are proudly hosting this world-standard event in Kelowna and the involvement of these organizations offers additional awards to the top eligible finishers.

- Date: Sunday 13th July 2025
- Race Start: 08:00 AM
- Bib Pickup: Begins at 06:30 AM
- Location: 3400 Lakeshore Road (Boyce-Gyro Beach)
- Price: $35 (with a $5 discount for the first 50 registrants)
- Registration Closes: 5:00 PM July 12th

This year, we will again be running for a local cause. Part of the race proceeds will go to help fund the UBCO Track team, coache by Canadian Olympian Malindi Elmore.
