Race Details
This event is part of the Idaho Trail Ultra Series and the Idaho Trail Series. The main event, "If You're Not First You're Last," is a race of attrition. Participants must complete a 4.167-mile loop within an hour. The race continues with a bell ringing at the top of each hour until only one racer remains. The winner is the last person to complete a loop, needing to finish one more loop than everyone else.
The Big Event: Be in the starting corral at 8 AM sharp. Finish the loop within an hour and be back in the starting corral on the hour for each subsequent loop. The race is open-ended with no time limit or tie-breakers.
3 Loop Challenge: For those wanting a shorter experience or to qualify for the Idaho Trail Series (ITS), this option allows participants to run 3 loops. Overall fastest times win, with one male and one female winner. You can also opt to run just 2 loops.
Important Information:
- All runners must be in the starting corral at 8 AM sharp.
- Schwag is guaranteed for registrations by September 1st.
- Same-day registration will be available.
- No refunds.
- Each runner is allowed 2 crew members at the start/finish.
- Competitors may not leave the course until each loop is completed, except for restrooms.
- No non-competitors on the course.
- No personal aid during a loop; a minimal aid station will be at the start/finish.
- No artificial aids (including trekking poles).
- Slower runners must allow passes.
- Results will record distance covered for each runner.
- An aid station at the start/finish will have water, Tailwind, coffee, and broth. Racers should bring specific items they need.
