Horseshoe Valley Hustle Trail & Ultra Challenge
The event is scheduled for October 31, 2026 at Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie, Ontario. Multiple distances are offered, all based around a 5 km loop course through the resort forest.
Distances
- 1 km Small Steps Run (resort area, non-trail)
- 5 km Trail Run/Walk
- 10 km Trail Run (two 5 km laps)
- 8-hour Endurance Challenge (solo or teams of 2, 4, or 8)
The 5 km loop follows narrow single-track trails with frequent elevation changes, steep climbs and technical sections featuring loose rocks, roots and uneven footing. Participants covering more than 5 km complete multiple laps. One aid station is located at the 2.5 km mark and is passed once per lap.
Logistics: the start and finish are based in the resort main area with access to onsite amenities, food and beverage outlets, and parking. Bibs must be picked up prior to lining up at the start line; race day pickup is available and another person may collect a bib on a participant's behalf by providing their first and last name.
