Hornická desítka
The Hornická desítka (Miner's Ten) is a prestigious running event with a rich history, originating in 1980 between the Paskov and Staříč mines. After a hiatus, the tradition was revived in 1996 and moved to Frýdek-Místek, eventually becoming one of the largest and most popular races in the Czech Republic.
The race currently features a 10 km course, and has seen a significant number of participants in recent years, celebrating movement and community.
Recent Editions:
- 2025: Sunny and warm weather welcomed hundreds of runners, with over 2500 participants across all categories, including children's races, a 2-mile race, and the main 10 km event.
- 2024: Despite cold and rainy weather, the 37th edition was well-organized and attended by over 2165 participants.
- 2023: Held in beautiful weather, the event saw 2394 runners, with a strong turnout for the children's races, a "Run for Health" event, a 3.3 km race for younger runners, and the 10 km race.
The next edition is planned for Saturday, November 7, 2026.
